What Medicare covers
- Medicare Part B covers enteral nutrition as a prosthetic benefit when a patient cannot take in enough nutrition by mouth and meets the coverage criteria.
- Coverage requires documentation of the medical need and a permanent (or long-duration) impairment; the formula and delivery method must be medically necessary.
- A prescription and supporting documentation from your provider are required. We verify all of it before we ship.
